The Mercury Group State Contracts:

 

The Mercury Group was awarded the State of Connecticut telecommunications cabling contract through DOIT/BEST as of September 27, 2006, MA B-05-022.  This was a very rigorous and thorough process and we are proud to be one of the few cabling vendors to be awarded this contract.


The Mercury Group was also awarded a DAS Prequalification for Electrical work #07PSX0357 on April 1st, 2008. Mercury can provide combined services for both electrical and cabling services such as security and grounding and bonding projects with the benefits listed below:


Advantages of our State Contracts


The RFP process can be bypassed using the states pricing. The standard three bids would not be required and man hours and time would be saved. When there is a time sensitive issue we have had many towns and schools take advantage of this and go directly through DOIT or DAS with out any added costs attributed to going under the electrical or general contractor. The electrical contractor marks up our provided number and passes it along to the general contractor who marks it up again. The cost savings can be as high as 35%. In addition to that no bond would be required under the contract for added cost savings.

(In addition to the voice & data & electrical work, the above colleges had a need for IP cameras. This was accomplished by combining our DOIT & DAS contracts. The cameras and electrical portion of installation are sourced through our DAS electrical contract. Under our DOIT contract we can provide the cabling, network infrastructure and labor combining both contracts for a complete project solution.)
