Mercury Communications, Inc. (the 1st of The Mercury Group of Companies) was founded in 1978 with telecommunications and network infrastructure as its main deliverable. Our customers’ needs grew and considering their trusted relationship of Mercury Communications, Inc. (M/WBE), they began requesting additional services related to the industry, out of which Mercury Electric, Mercury DataCom, Mercury Security, and Mercury Cabling Systems (SBE) were established – and so, The Mercury Group of Companies was formed.
Stephano Nathan is an experienced Senior Estimator specializing in voice and data cabling, fiber optics, wireless access points, and many more communications projects.
His extensive knowledge of the communications industry allows him to easily navigate and plan for many different projects, such as, new construction, existing construction, fit-outs, and much more.
With a long and widespread family history of Telecommunications & Electrical Engineers, along with her own 20+ years in the Communications Industry, Catherine acquired Mercury Communications, Incorporated in January of 2013 and has grown the company exponentially, impressing upon its clients and the community the quality service and assurance of this Certified Woman-Owned Electrical Contractor Enterprise.
Catherine Lawson is the President of Mercury Communications Incorporated. As president, Catherine oversees all aspects of day to day activities which include on-site project management and internal administration.
For over 28 years Matt has been in the Communications Industry. His expertise is the Design, Installation, Maintenance and Repair of Telecommunications and Security Systems. Matt’s love for communications began in the Army where he was a Cable Systems and Network Systems Installer. These responsibilities continued through Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm.
Matt’s telecommunications and security experience continued as the owner and operator of Tricom Cable, LLC. His responsibilities included Sales, Design, Installation, Customer Assurance, Customer Training and Maintenance of Telecommunications and Security Systems.
As an Electrician for 30 years, Mike has worked on highly sensitive equipment for the Federal Government through General Electric, including building mobile triage units post 9/11, and was an Electrical Engineer for General Electric.
Since he’s been with The Mercury Group of Companies, he’s designed and installed multiple grounding and bonding and energy efficiency projects for our State of Connecticut Agencies, towns & municipalities throughout our state, as well as, our private industry customers.
Adam Browning is our Project Coordinator. As a Project Coordinator, Adam has extensive experience in both project management and cost estimating for public and private needs. As one of The Mercury Group’s engineering team members, he uses over 20 years of field experience and knowledge to provide our clients with the most reliable project coordination – an expertise that our customers have come to rely on. Adam continues to service accounts demanding strict budgets and time frames.
He maintains several industry certifications such as BICSI Certified Technician, Siemon Certified Designer, Panduit Certified Installer, Ortronics Certified Installer, and Certification in Advanced OTDR Testing. Adam holds certification in AutoCAD and OSHA 30 Construction. He holds a State of Connecticut, Department of Consumer Protection T-2 Limited Electrical Journeyperson’s License.
As a quality-focused and strong commercial construction superintendent, Matt utilizes exceptional leadership skills combined with knowledge of all construction subtrades.
Matt Macero is our Construction Superintendent. With Matt’s excellent communications skills, part of his duties is to report to the project owner or contractor for updates, he attends weekly meetings, keeps daily work logs, supervises our technicians on job sites and ensures quality workmanship and that safety guidelines are met. He utilizes his good time management skill to ensure timely completion of projects.
Max Girotto is our Lead Construction Foreman. As Construction Foreman, Max is responsible for coordinating administratively and laying out all voice/data communications projects in the field. Max is responsible for ensuring all safety & NEC, ANSI, TIA/EIA and NFPA Codes and Standards are followed, as well as, leading weekly “toolbox talks” with individual projects’ foremen, technicians & apprentices for the duration of those projects. He holds a State of Connecticut, Department of Consumer Protection T-2 Limited Electrical Journeyperson’s License.
